It was the last baseball game of the season and the proud players had given it their all. Unfortunately, they even had the grass stained clothes to prove it. The pitcher’s mom was excited for their victory but nervous about cleaning those uniforms. She had done everything she could think of; tried every cleaning product on the market without avail. She had come to her wits end trying to remove the pesky stains when all of a sudden she remembered Two Men & A Vacuum’s Eco-Friendly grass stain removal tips.

Two Men & A Vacuum had discussed how to get grass stains out of fabrics. They had kicked grass stains to the curb by giving handy tips like verifying that the stain had not come in contact with heat. If it had been heated, then the grass stain would be a much harder villain to defeat. Two Men & A Vacuum knew that if grass stained clothes came their way, they would simply put a paper towel behind the stain and dab the area with white vinegar. They would dab the stain until the stain was gone and would wash the clothes as usual. These tips came in handy for the stain overwhelmed mother.

No white vinegar in your home? Never fear, Two Men & A Vacuum are here! They know that there are many ways to complete one project. If there is no white vinegar in your house, try working with baking soda. Mix 2 tbsp. of baking soda with 1 tbsp. of water and make a paste. Use the newly created paste to cover the stain and gently rub with a toothbrush. Let the paste remain on the stain for about five minutes. Break out the soda water or seltzer water and use it to wash away the paste from the stained area. Continue to brush the area with the toothbrush, while rinsing with soda or seltzer water until the stain is gone. This second method can be used on fabrics as well as furniture or carpet.

Two Men & A Vacuum know how frustrating it can be to get grass stains out of your carpet. Instead of scrubbing the stained area, pushing the stain deeper into the carpet, they know the value of the suction tool on their vacuum. They recommend using this tool to lift any debris that remains on the surface of the stain. Then they proceed to dip the corner of a towel in cold water and use it to blot the stain. Why don’t they just rub the towel on the stain?! Two Men & A Vacuum know better! Rubbing the towel on the grass stained carpet will push the stain deeper into the carpet fibers. The faster you are able to start treating the stain, the easier it will be to remove. So instead of buying a toxic stain remover, look around your house for a little white vinegar or baking soda; the environment will thank you.
